Fathers And Sons vs. Temple Grafton

14:00, Monday, July 10, 2017
Temple Grafton

Fathers And Sons (192/8 in 43 6-ball overs)
and
Temple Grafton (143/8 in 35 6-ball overs)
drew.

Report by Joss Dare:

The FAS innings began with a blistering 43 off the first 4 overs before all the young offenders squandered their wickets away like there was no parole. This left the old timers, Josster and CB to reign in their natural attacking genius (ahem) to meander to 192/8.

IPRiot, stripped of his batting prowess like Samson with a comb-over, instead impersonated a bowler for the day much to everyone's bafflement. Houders gingered his way through the TG line up with a splendid Michelle but the last wickets would not come, however many grenades were lobbed and one of our oldest and most beloved fixtures drew to a draw.

Fathers And Sons vs. Fladbury

14:30, Monday, July 10, 2017
Fladbury

Fladbury (231/7 in 40 6-ball overs)
defeated
Fathers And Sons (165/9 in 40 6-ball overs)
by 66 runs.

Report by Joss Dare:

Along with TG, this is our oldest fixture; a grand masterpiece played out on a broad canvas of 33 years. That, however, is absolutely no excuse for the horror of losing for the second year in a row. I know we won this for many years straight (right back to the Mardi Gras in 2005) and it is good to redress the cricketing karmic balance and all that, but enough is enough. I'll say no more.
